Agnes Clark Burns, 91, of New Eagle, died Thursday, December 24, 2020 in her home. She was born March 8, 1929 in Monongahela, the daughter of James C. Laird and Edna W. Daugherty Laird Scott.

For over forty years, Agnes was employed at Span & Taylor Pharmacy retiring in 2018. She was a devoted employee who took great pride in her job and made many friends over the years. She enjoyed bowling in various leagues throughout her life, going out with friends, going shopping, and going to the casinos later in life. Her favorite times were when she and her children spent time together.

Left to cherish her memory are her children, Susan (Barry) Wood of Ooltewah, TN, Fred (Betsy) Angerman of Rock Hill, SC, Tony (Roxanne) Burns of Venice, FL, Shawn (Carla) Burns of Irwin; eight grandchildren, Lee (Lance) Carden, Julie King, Andy (Ashley) King, Traci Wood (Michael Buchanan), Amy Hobbs, Brandon (Tawnya) Burns, Justin Burns and Brenden Burns; several great and great great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Owen A. Burns, Jr. who died March 23, 1992; and two sisters, Jean Ortallono and Etta (Rubino) McDonald.

Agnes will be buried in the Monongahela Cemetery. Because of the CO-VID19 pandemic, her family is planning on having a memorial service for Agnes at a later date.
