Obituary

Andrew "Drew" Koteles, 73, of Canonsburg, formerly of Finleyville, died unexpectedly Tuesday, October 20, 2026. He was born June 12, 1953, the son of the late John and Cleta Jerin Koteles.

Drew retired four years ago from Drew's Auto Service in Finleyville, where he was the owner and operator for over thirty years. His biggest passion was auto racing. You could find him on the weekends either at the drag strip or the local dirt track in the famous #64. Drew had many wins in his racing career.

He was an outdoorsman which included hunting and fishing. Drew's soft spot was his love for animals, especially his cats and bird. He had many accomplishments in horseshoes, Texas Hold'em and carp fishing tournaments.

Drew enjoyed spending time with his lovely wife, Kim, of twenty seven years, as she enjoyed Drew's passions as well. His biggest joy was his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Anyone that knew Drew, knew he had a collection of unforgettable sayings from "get it done", "gas is on the right", "add stagger", "fish on", "update on the update, no update". His words became familiar expressions that family and friends will carry with them forever.

He is survived by his wife, Kimberly Borden Koteles; two sons, David (Tammy) Koteles of Amity, Gary Koteles (Melissa Schuster) of Monongahela; daughter, Lori Koteles (Brian Eckenrod) of Canonsburg; six grandchildren, Cody, Jonathan, Colton, Logan, Katrina and Blake; three great grandchildren, Emberlee, Callie and Weston; siblings, Joe Koteles (Roseann Trovato) of North Versailles, Doris "Punchy" Jenkins of McKeesport, Mary Ann "Cookie" (Wayne) Smith of Clairton, Linda Fisher of Finleyville; sister-in-law, Mimi (Robert) Powell of Canonsburg.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Craig Koteles; great grandson, Dallin; siblings, Nancy Necciai, Judy Kaminsky, Dennis Koteles, Joanie Ranft, and Junior Koteles.

Friends will be received on Sunday, October 25, 2026, from 2-6 PM in the Frye Funeral Home, Inc., 427 West Main Street, Monongahela where a blessing service will begin at 6:00 PM with the Deacon Alexander Poroda.
