Anthony Lee Seraly's Obituary
Anthony Lee "Tony" Seraly, passed away unexpectedly at the Monongahela Valley Hospital on Friday, May 26, 2017 at the age of 59. Born November 12, 1957 at Fort Ord Army Hospital in California, he was the son of Judith Seraly, who survives and resides in New Eagle and the late Mario Seraly who passed October 9, 1998.
Tony graduated from Monongahela High School in 1975 and had played on the Wildcats football team. When younger, he loved collecting vinyl records, coins, swimming in the river, building cabins in the woods, ice skating, reading books (mostly history) and listening to his music. He married Wanda (Boyer) Seraly and had three sons, Ian, Erin and Nathan Seraly. He formerly attended Riverview Baptist Church in New Eagle. After graduating from high school, he enrolled in the Dean Institute of Technology in Pittsburgh and became a certified welder. He joined the Boilermakers Local 154 and worked for forty years until his retirement in 2016, when his health began to decline.
In addition to his mother, he leaves his three sons, the loves of his life: Ian Lee Seraly of Charleroi, Erin Joseph Seraly of Monroeville, Nathan Anthony Seraly of Millsboro; a brother, David Seraly of Scenery Hill; a sister, Julie (Seraly) Nicholas of New Eagle; and loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
In addition to his father, Mario, he was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.
At the family's request, there will not be any visitations. A memorial service may be held at a later date. Arrangements are being handled by the Frye Funeral Home Inc.
