Barbara Jean Vegso, 81, of New Eagle, died Tuesday, September 22, 2026, in Canonsburg General Hospital. She was born February 2, 1945, in Coatesville, a daughter of the late Eugene "Mike" and Esther Clifford Collins.

Barbara was a graduate of Octorara High School in Atglen. She later attended West Chester School of Practical Nursing in Chester County Hospital and became an LPN in 1964. She worked as a private duty nurse in the Mon Valley Area for three years.

Barbara retired from the Charleroi School District where she was employed as a nurse's aide for over twenty years. She was a former office worker for 88 Transit in Speers.

She is survived by her three sons, Jeffrey (Deborah) Vegso, Brian (Diana) Vegso, Justin (Amanda) Vegso; four grandchildren, Justin, Jordan, Jacob, and Megan; two step-grandchildren, Alyson and Chloe; two great grandchildren, Gabriel and Chandler; sister, Nancy (Warren) Nigh.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, John and Robert Collins.

At Barbara's request, there will be no services.
