Cathy Ann Richardson, 76, of Monongahela, died Tuesday, October 15, 2024 in Jefferson Hospital. She was born August 31, 1948 in Pittsburgh, the daughter of the late Nicholas and Suzanne Gdula Kurilko.

Cathy was a 1966 graduate of Charleroi High School and later earned a bachelors degree in education from California University of Pennsylvania in 1969. She was a member of Saint Andrew the Apostle Parish and their Altar Rosary Christian Mothers, and the Monongahela Woman's Club. She enjoyed shopping and was a QVC fanatic. More than anything, she enjoyed every moment with her granddaughter, Isla Brielle, and spending quality time with her family and closest friends.

Cathy was employed as a kindergarten teacher for the Ringgold School District for 44 years. She was very proud to call herself a "great grand teacher," meaning she taught four generations in a single family. Cathy was able to reach so many lives that even in her last hours, she was cared for by a former student who is now a nurse. Her teaching career did not end in the classroom. Upon retirement, she happily transitioned from teaching kindergarten to teaching her beloved granddaughter.

She is survived by her companion of 42 years, David Evanoka; son, Garrett (Juliann) Richardson of Washington; granddaughter, Isla Brielle Richardson.

Friends will be received on Thursday, October 24, 2024 from 6-8 PM in the Frye Funeral Home, Inc., 427 West Main Street, Monongahela. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, October 25, 2024 at 10:00 AM at St. Andrew the Apostle Parish in Monongahela with the Rev. Thomas Kadlick as celebrant.
