Charles William "Chuck" Davis, Jr., 74, of New Eagle, died Tuesday, June 28, 2016 in his home. Born July 21, 1941 in East Monongahela, he was the son of the late Charles William and Genevieve Bagnes Davis, Sr.
Chuck was a US Army veteran, having served during the Vietnam War. He retired after thirty years of employment from US Steel, Koppers Plant in Clairton and was a member of the Arroas Haymakers Association No. 258 1/2 in New Eagle.
He is survived by his wife, Donna Myor Davis with whom he celebrated forty seven years of marriage on November 20, 2015; two sons, Charles Davis of New Eagle, Chris Davis and wife Michelle of Monongahela; three grandchildren, Alexis Davis, Tyler and Michael Yocolano; sister, Marguerite "Billie" Chattaway of Greensburg.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Dolores Weller and Gloria Lukas.
Friends will be received on Friday, July 1, 2016 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM in the Frye Funeral Home, Inc., 427 West Main Street, Monongahela, where services will be held on Saturday, July 2, 2016 at 10:00 AM with the Pastor Brad Sickler officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Washington County Humane Society, P.O. Box 66, Eighty Four, PA 15330.
