Cheryl Marie Tomlinson, 72, of Monongahela, died Sunday, April 18, 2021 in the Monongahela Valley Hospital. She was born March 11, 1949 in North Charleroi, the daughter of the late Jane E. Tomlinson.

Cheryl was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Monongahela. She formerly worked at Ames Department Store in Bethel Park until its closing and retired from Wal Mart in Belle Vernon. Cheryl was an amazing cook and baker. There was not a Christmas cookie that she didn't make! She enjoyed gardening, both flowers and vegetables and was notoriously known for her wonderful tomatoes. Cheryl was extremely family oriented, had a love for children and was a passionate Penguins and Steelers fan.

She is survived by her cousins, Gloria Lucza of Monongahela, Tom and Donald Flower of Rostraver Township, Karen Ferencz of North Carolina, Darla Newman of Speers, Patty Furiga of Mesa, Arizona, and Kathy Brady and family.

Friends will be received on Wednesday, April 21, 2021 from 7-9 PM and Thursday, April 22, 2021 from 12-2 PM in the Frye Funeral Home Inc., 427 West Main Street, Monongahela, where services will be held on Thursday, April 22, 2021 at 2:00 PM with the Rev. Mark Woomer officiating. Interment will follow in Mon Valley Memorial Park, Donora.
