Christine C. Wingo, 75, of Monongahela, died Monday, October 20, 2025 in Penn Highlands Mon Valley Hospital. She was born January 24, 1950 in Pittsburgh, the daughter of Francis and Henrietta Mascari Lauterbach.

Christine was a member of St. Andrew the Apostle Parish. At 45 years old, she attended California University and earned a Bachelors of Science in Education. She was a special needs educator at Gastonville Elementary School and Monongahela Elementary School for over ten years. Christine was passionate about her work and went above and beyond attending to her special needs students.

She had a love for animals, as she took in many cats, birds, and bunnies and cared for them.

She is survived by three children, Dallas Wingo, Jeremy (Angela) Wingo, and Jennifer Wingo, all of Monongahela; seven grandchildren, Tonya (Sean Horan) Wingo, Austin (Alexis) Wingo, Breanna (Tegan) Spohn, Gabrielle Fornili, Bradley (Rose) Wingo, Caraline and Emily Wingo; five great grandchildren, Alaina and Arthur Wingo, Kinzley Horan, Emery and Ivy Spohn; brother, Norman "Butch" Lauterbach; two sisters, Mae Lauterbach, Eileen Michalski.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David Bard Wingo, who died Nov. 27, 2022; four sisters, Joan Lauterbach, Carol Martino, Donna Harrison, Evelyn McDade; brother, Francis "Bud" Lauterbach; infant brother, Ralph Lauterbach.

Friends will be received on Thursday, October 23, 2025 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM in the Frye Funeral Home, Inc., 427 West Main Street, Monongahela. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, October 24, 2025 at 10:00 AM in St. Andrew the Apostle Parish in Monongahela. Interment will be private in Monongahela Cemetery.
