David L. Staffen, II, 53, of Monongahela, passed away peacefully Saturday, May 2, 2026 in St. Clair Hospital. He was born Friday, May 19, 1972 in North Charleroi.

Dave was a 1990 graduate of Elizabeth Forward High School. He later earned a degree in Mechanical Engineering from West Virginia University in 1994.

He married the love of his life, Kasi, in Gatlinburg, Tennessee in 1997. They have built a beautiful life with their two daughters, Janelle and Kensi, and have been blessed with amazing friends.

Dave was a dedicated entrepreneur and sales engineer for over thirty years. He served as Vice Chairman on the Monongahela Sewage Authority for seven years and on the board of the Charleroi Cemetery. He was a member of the B.P.O. Elks #445 Monongahela and American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air Conditioning Engineers for over thirty years. He also earned his Black Belt 1st Dan in Tae Kwan Do.

Dave and Kasi loved living in Chicago, their Hidden Valley house, and vacationing on the beach in Florida. He loved to cook, entertain, and try new restaurants with friends. He lived every day like it was his last.

He was preceded in death by his father, David L. Staffen, Sr.; maternal grandparents, Frank and Eleanore Rauchfuss, Sr.; paternal grandparents, John F. and Hazel May Staffen, III.

Friends will be received on Wednesday, May 6, 2026 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM in the Frye Funeral Home, Inc., 427 West Main Street, Monongahela. Private interment will take place in the Charleroi Cemetery.
