Diane Marie Anders, 61, of New Eagle, died Wednesday, November 9, 2022 in Penn Highlands Mon Valley Hospital. She was born December 19, 1960 in New Eagle, the daughter of the late Otis and Elizabeth Chiedor Helmantoler.

Diane was a graduate of Elizabeth Forward High School. She was an active member of the Riverview Baptist Church in New Eagle and was very involved with their Vacation Bible School. For twenty years, Diane was employed by the Ringgold School District as a cafeteria worker. She was a member of the AFSCME Union and was on their negotiating committee. Diane was a Cub Scout Den Leader of Pack 1446 in Monongahela and was also the program director for the Mon Valley District Day Camp. She loved to go camping with her family and had a passion for watching The Young and the Restless.

She is survived by her husband, Steven M. Anders with whom she celebrated thirty three years of marriage on July 15, 2022; son, Steven M. Anders, Jr. at home; four sisters, Jean (David) Morris of Bordentown, NJ, Lucy (William) Payne of Monongahela, Betsy (Ron) Agostoni of Elrama, Janet (Tim) Basey of Donora; numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother and sister, Otis and Rose Helmantoler.

Friends will be received on Sunday, November 13, 2022 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM in the Frye Funeral Home, Inc., 427 West Main Street, Monongahela, where services will be held on Monday, November 14, 2022 at 11:00 AM with the Rev. Donald Dague officiating. Interment will follow in Mon Valley Memorial Park, Donora.
