Diane Louise Ghion, 81, of Monongahela, died Saturday, January 23, 2021 in the Haven Crest Nursing Center, Monongahela. She was born July 3, 1939 in North Charleroi, the daughter of Roy and Grace Gemmell Carson.

Diane was a retired Spanish and French teacher at the Elizabeth Forward High School. She loved spending time with her family, enjoyed traveling, music, dancing, reading (especially about History) and cooking.

She is survived by her son, Cameron Ghion and wife Judy of Pittsburgh; granddaughter, Jamie DeTal and husband Dustin; grandson, Daniel Ghion and Natalie Talarico; several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Ghion who died on August 9, 2002; sister, Judy Madden; and a brother Stephen "Neil" Carson.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Frye Funeral Home, Inc., 427 West Main Street, Monongahela.
