Dolores "Babe" Rose  Staffen, 80, of Forward Township, Monongahela, died Wednesday, January 11, 2017 in her home. She was born March 25, 1936 in Elrama, the daughter of the late  Alex and Rose "Baba" Podstawaka Maxymczak.
Babe had been married for over fifty years to her beloved husband Joseph F. Staffen, who died September 7, 2010. She completes the family circle, joining her brothers, Alex "Ed", Mike and John Maxymczak and her sister, Mary Douglas.
Babe was a homemaker, raising her two sons, Frank Staffen of Monongahela and Joseph Staffen and wife Pam of Lewis Center, Ohio. She adored her two grandchildren, Dana Marcinkowski and husband Nathan of Ohio and Sgt. Mark Staffen (USAMU) of Fort Benning, Georgia.
Babe enjoyed dancing to polka music with her husband and attending church at the Riverhill Church of Christ.
Friends will be received on Friday, January 13, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM   in the Frye Funeral Home, Inc., 427 West Main Street, Monongahela, where services will be held on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at 11:00 AM with the Rev. Paul Eisaman and the Rev. Beverly Bonnell co-officiating. Interment will follow in the Monongahela Cemetery.
