Dorothy A. Dias' Obituary
Dorothy A. Dias, 90, of Woodbridge, Virginia, formerly of Monongahela, died Wednesday, October 25, 2017 in the Center for Acute Hospice Care in Charlottesville, Virginia. She was born March 31, 1927 in Donora, the daughter of Frank P. and Anna Emert Shedlock.
Dorothy was a 1946 graduate of Donora High School. In her younger years she enjoyed quilting and flower gardening. Dorothy loved spending time with her family and was a member of St. Damien of Molokai Parish of Monongahela.
She is survived by two sons, Robert Dias of Woodbridge, Virginia, Timothy Dias of Culpeper, Virginia; two grandchildren, Sherri Lee Dias and Alexander Gerard Dias.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Dias who died September 11, 2011, daughter-in-law, Mary Sutherland Dias and a sister, Geraldine Mathieson.
Friends will be received on Sunday, October 29, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM in the Frye Funeral Home Inc., 427 West Main Street, Monongahela, where a blessing service will be held on Monday, October 30, 2017 at 10:00 AM with the Rev. William Terza officiating. Interment will follow in the Monongahela Cemetery.
