Francis "Fran" Merolillo, 70, of West Newton, formerly of Monongahela, died Wednesday, January 24, 2024 in his home. He was born June 12, 1953 in Niagara Falls, New York, the son of Louis and Mildred Spaziani Merolillo and Mary Cafaro.

Fran was a graduate of Monongahela High School and a lifetime member of the Elrama Sportsman's Club. He worked in the automotive industry for many years and loved riding his Harley.

He is survived by his wife, Lynda Starkey Merolillo, with whom he celebrated 33 years of marriage on December 15, 2023; two daughters, Angela (Christopher Lininger) Starkey, Melissa Starkey, all of Latrobe; two grandchildren, McKinley Kyle and Mason Starkey; sister,  Sandy (Doug) Taylor of Pittsburgh; two brothers, Lou Merolillo of Pittsburgh, Nick (Jackie) Cafaro of New York.

Friends will be received on Saturday, January 27, 2024 from 1-3 PM at Frye Funeral Home, 427 W Main Street, Monongahela, where a blessing service will be held at 2:30 PM with the Rev. Kevin Dominik officiating.
