Obituary

Frank Babiak Jr., 81, of Monessen, passed away peacefully the morning of October 3, 2024 surrounded by his loving family. He was born on November 27, 1942 in New Eagle to Frank and Helen Shriner Babiak, Sr.

Frank retired from Flexicore in Monongahela in 2007 where he was employed since the age of eighteen.  He also volunteered at Saint Vincent de Paul in Monessen for several years. When he wasn't spending quality time with family, you could find him at his cabin in Greene County where he and his nephew, Christopher, would hunt and fish until the sun went down. If he wasn't doing either of those things, you could almost always bet he was on his John Deere tractor either tending to the lawn or teaching one of his granddaughters how to drive the stick shift. If you'd lend him an ear, he'd tell you an endless number of stories packed with both wisdom and silly jokes. Frank was a radiant soul who will be deeply missed by all who knew him. He was and will forever continue to be a positive beam of light to all those he touched in his time on Earth.

Those left to cherish his memory include his beloved wife of nineteen years, Patricia Ann DeCurtis Babiak; son, Anthony DeCurtis of Albany, New York; grandchildren, Sydney and Kaylee DeCurtis of Belle Vernon; his sister, Helen (Everett) McCall of St. Georges, Delaware; special nephew, Christopher Smith of Hatfield; numerous nieces and nephew.. He also leaves behind beloved dog, Baby, who almost never left his side. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Robert, Roberta, Michael, and Ray, and Nancy Beitsinger.

Friends will be received Monday, October 7, 2024 from 3-7 PM at the Frye Funeral Home Inc.,  427 W Main Street, Monongahela, where services will be held on Tuesday, October 8, 2024 at 11:00 AM with the Rev Jude Urso officiating.
