Frank
Rostosky
Sep 14, 1932 — Feb 16, 2026
Forward Township
Frank "Babe" Rostosky, 93, a lifelong resident of Forward Township, passed away on Monday, February 16, 2026 in his home. He was born September 14, 1932 in New Eagle, a son of George and Mary Baka Rostosky.
Frank was married to Betty (Kruki) Rostosky for 44 years. She was the love of his life, even after her passing in 2004. He was a wonderful husband and father.
Frank was a member of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary Orthodox Church in Monongahela. He was a man of "old school value" that is seldom seen today. He was a man of his word and someone who took pleasure and pride in a hard day's work. Frank valued his work ethic, and his relationship with God and his family.
In his early years, he worked as a heavy equipment operator with his brothers, Michael and Joseph at Rostosky Mining, then moving to various other companies within the industry. He later retired from Round Hill Park in Allegheny County with ten years of employment as an animal keeper. He enjoyed caring for animals, working the land, and restoring old farm tractors.
He is survived by his two daughters, Lisa Rostosky, Sherry (Jon) Rostosky-Smith, both of Forward Township; several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Betty (Kruki) Rostosky; son-in-law, Daniel C. Potts; five brothers, Andrew, George, Joseph, John and Michael; two sisters, Helen Hazi and Mary Spencer.
Services for Mr. Rostosky were private. He was interred next to his beloved wife in the Monongahela Cemetery.
