Franklin A. Trotta, 69, of Arlington, VA, formerly of Monongahela, died Thursday, February 12, 2026. He was born March 16, 1956, a son of Attilio and Helen Teets Trotta.

Frank was a graduate of Ringgold High School, Monongahela Division and later earned a bachelors degree from the University of Pittsburgh. He spent a majority of his career working for the United States government.

He liked hiking and battlefield history. Frank enjoyed traveling, especially exploring historical sites.

He is survived by his brother,  Don (Marlene) Trotta of Sonoma, California; niece, Tanya (Fred) Ney, of Charleroi; great niece, Ava Ney. He also leaves behind his beloved cat, Missy.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Vince Trotta.

Friends will be received on Friday, February 20, 2026 from 12:30-2 PM in the Frye Funeral Home, Inc., 427 West Main Street, Monongahela, where a funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM with the Rev. Jude Urso officiating. Interment will follow in Mon Valley Memorial Park, Donora.
