Gerry K. Putnak's Obituary
Gerry K. Putnak, 89, of Monongahela, died Thursday, April 20, 2017 in the Monongahela Valley Hospital. She was born July 31, 1927 in Donora, the daughter of George and Julia Racko Karabin.
Gerry was born and raised in Donora and was a 1946 graduate of Donora High School. After her marriage to Joseph Putnak, they resided in Monongahela. Gerry was a homemaker and a very devoted mother to her six children. She will be very deeply missed by her family.
She is survived by three daughters, Patricia and Penelope Putnak and Mary Myers, all of Monongahela; three sons J. Robert Putnak of Silver Spring, Maryland, John Putnak of Tucson, Arizona and Thomas Putnak of Hurricane, Utah.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Albert Putnak who died May 21, 2009.
Private services and inurnment will be held in Arlington National Cemetery, Alexandria, Virginia. The Frye Funeral Home Inc. is in charge of the arrangements.
