Gloria Mae Doty, 96, of Hampton Fields Village, Allison Park, formerly of New Eagle, died Sunday, February 12, 2023 in UPMC Passavant Hospital, Pittsburgh. She was born May 3, 1926 in Charleroi, the daughter of Octavio and Ava Troiano Romito.

Gloria was a member of St. Andrew the Apostle Parish in Monongahela. She was employed as a telephone operator for Bell Telephone Company in Charleroi in the 1940s. She was a member of the New Eagle Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and the New Eagle Bowling League. Gloria enjoyed baking, cooking, and crafting and adored her grandchildren.

She is survived by her son, Richard Doty of Carrolltown, Texas; son-in-law, Peter McAneny of Mars; five grandsons, Brian Doty, Jason (Christie) Doty, Christopher (Melissa) McAneny; Michael (Ashley) McAneny, David McAneny; seven great grandchildren, Brylee, Austin, Landon, and Grady Doty, Evan, Mia, and Harley McAneny; sister, Elaine Niccolai of New Eagle; numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Albert J. Doty who died August 19, 2018; daughter, Joyce McAneny; daughter-in-law, Carole Doty; twelve siblings, Donald Romito, Urania Burns, Dena Campagna, Tarso Romito, Elvira Romito, Nellie Similo, Anthony Romito, Cora Volosin, Audrey Henrion, Albert Romito, Etlo Romito and Paul Romito.

Friends will be received on Wednesday, February 15, 2023 from 4-8 PM in the Frye Funeral Home, Inc., 427 West Main Street, Monongahela. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, February 16, 2023 at 11:00 AM in St. Andrew the Apostle Church, Monongahela. Interment will follow in Sacred Heart Cemetery, Monongahela.
