Jay Davis, 65, of Monongahela, died Monday, May 11, 2020 in the Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh. He was born March 8, 1955 in Sunnyside, the son of the late Elgin and Bernice Gori Davis.

Jay was a graduate of Elizabeth Forward High School, class of 1973. He retired from US Steel, Clairton Works after thirty years of employment and was a member of the Arroas Haymakers Association 258 1/2 in New Eagle. Jay enjoyed being with family, hanging out with his friends, had a passion for classic cars and old westerns, and loved being outdoors, especially hunting, fishing and camping,

He is survived by his daughter, Nickol Ceravolo and husband Justin of Long Island, New York; three brothers and a sister, Gary Davis and wife Mary Ann of Monongahela, Robin Monaghan and husband Jack of Coatesville, Kim Davis and wife Nadine of Belle Vernon and Brad Davis of Waltersburg; numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Debra McChesney Davis who died January 4, 2016.

A private viewing and funeral service will be held at the Frye Funeral Home, Inc., 427 West Main Street, Monongahela. Interment will take place in the Monongahela Cemetery.
