Jeanne L. Thompson's Obituary
Jeanne Lucille Thompson, 85, of New Eagle, died Saturday, Aug. 13, 2016, in McKeesport Hospital. She was born Dec. 14, 1930, in McKeesport, the daughter of Raymond and Ethel Shaffer Riden. Jeanne retired in 1992 after 25 years of employment from the former Bartolotta's Shop 'N Save, presently Giant Eagle, in Fisher Heights. She was a former member of the Vernon Belles and was Baptist by faith. Jeanne was very devoted to her family, enjoyed going to flea markets, hucksters and played cards in various clubs.
She is survived by her husband, Charles W. "Cajun" Thompson with whom she celebrated 51 years of marriage on Feb. 14, 2016; daughter, Lynn (Glenn) Petticord of New Eagle; daughter, Pam (John) Nagy of Monongahela; son, Raymond (Jamie) Prolenski of Elrama; daughter, Cyndi (Joyce) Prolenski of Charleroi; eight grandchildren, Kevin and Brandon Petticord, J.T., Bradley and Cali Nagy, Justin, Josh and Ali Prolenski; six great-grandchildren; and sister, Yvonne Biddle of Elizabeth.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2016, in the FRYE FUNERAL HOME INC., 427 W. Main St., Monongahela where services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2016. Interment will follow in Round Hill Cemetery, Elizabeth.
She is survived by her husband, Charles W.
