Jill Ilene Cain's Obituary
Jill Ilene Cain, 61, of Smithton, died Sunday, January 29, 2017 in the Latrobe Hospital. She was born January 23, 1956 in McKeesport, the daughter of the late James T. Hobby and Emma Bryant Tarli who survives and resides in Smithton.
Family was most important in Jill's life. She enjoyed traveling to see her brother, Dave in Tennessee, going to Big Bear in West Virginia, and summer vacations to Edinboro. She loved her dogs, horseback riding, feeding and watching the birds. She was a member of the American Legion Post 380 Ladies Auxiliary in Dravosburg.
In addition to her mother, Jill is survived by her husband, Arthur James Cain, Sr. with whom she celebrated forty four years of marriage on February 12, 2016; son, Arthur James Cain, Jr. and wife Michelle of Smithton; two granddaughters, Megan Gordish and husband Christopher, and Sara Cain; two brothers, Jay Hobby and wife Katherine of Portvue, Dan Hobby and wife Nicholine of Columbia, TN.
She is preceded in death by her son, Brandon James "BJ" Cain who died September 20, 2016; brother, David Hobby and her step father, Sam Tarli.
Friends will be received on Wednesday, February 1, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM in the Frye Funeral Home, Inc., 427 West Main Street, Monongahela, where services will be held on Thursday, February 2, 2017 at 11:00 AM with the Rev. Mark Woomer officiating. Interment will follow in the Round Hill Cemetery, Elizabeth.
Memorial contributions may be made to Make-A-Wish Foundation, The Gulf Tower, 707 Grant Street, 37th Floor, Pittsburgh, PA 15219-191 or to an animal charity of one's choice.
