Jill Tessi Sperry, 65, of Monongahela, died unexpectedly Sunday, October 13, 2024 in UPMC Mercy Hospital. She was born July 18, 1959 in New Eagle, to the late Joseph Tessi Sr. and Audrey Rue Tessi Blangger who survives and resides in Monongahela.

Jill was a 1977 graduate of Ringgold High School and earned her Beautician License from the Pittsburgh Beauty Academy in Charleroi. She was employed at Mon Valley Hospital for over 25 years. She retired in 2020 as a gift shop manager where she made many life long friends.

Jill was an active member of the Calvary Bible Church in Charleroi where she attended regularly with her mother, Audrey, and brother, Joe. She was a member of the Croatian Club in Monongahela.

She was a die-hard Pittsburgh Penguins fan, always supporting her favorite players, Malkin and Crosby. Jill had many talents, including cooking, crafting, and decorating her home - inside and out - for the holidays. She loved listening to country music, especially Blake Shelton. Jill was a kind and generous woman who spent much of her time helping others. Her caring heart will truly be missed.

Jill was a devoted wife, daughter, sister and mother to her beloved pets, Missy, Bella, and Abby.

Jill is survived by her husband of 46 years, James "Mel" Sperry; sister, Tammy Pesognelli and husband, Tony, of Donora; and brother, Joseph Tessi of McKeesport.

Friends will be received Thursday, October 17, 2024 from 2-6 PM in the Frye Funeral Home Inc., 427 W Main Street, Monongahela, where a funeral service will be held at 6:00 PM with Pastor Jeff Diedrich officiating. Interment will take place on Friday, October 18, 2024 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of the Monongahela Cemetery.
