Joseph Lee Green, 21, of Monongahela, died Wednesday, December 22, 2021 at the Penn Highlands Mon Valley Hospital. He was born January 30, 2000 in Monongahela, the son of Dale and Kim McWilliams Green.

Joey was a 2019 graduate of Ringgold High School. He attended the Culinary Arts Program at Steel Center for Career and Technical Education in Jefferson Hills. He loved cooking, baking, and crafting. He enjoyed participating at Camp Inspire at The Woodlands in Wexford, an overnight camp for children and teens with complex medical conditions. His favorite time of year was Christmas and he radiated the magic of the season wherever he went. Joey endured a lot of adversity in his life, but he never complained. He touched the lives of many, including over 100 nurses who took care of him throughout the years. Joey left everyone he met with a warm heart and happy spirit. His memory will be cherished by all who knew him.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by two brothers, Andrew and wife Lindsey McWilliams of Jeanette, Todd Green at home; three nephews and a niece, Dean, Brock, Jaxon, and Lily; paternal grandmother, Bette Polacek Green of New Eagle; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, Jack Green; and maternal grandparents, Gary McWilliams and Alberta Joki.

Friends will be received on Monday, December 27, 2021 from 4-8 PM in the Frye Funeral Home, Inc., 427 West Main Street, Monongahela, where services will be held on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 at 11:00 AM with the Rev. Josh Green officiating.
