Kathy Lynne Burnisky, 59, of Greensburg, formerly of Finleyville, died Friday, January 21, 2022 in her home. She was born December 4, 1962 in New Eagle, a daughter of the late Alfred J. and Marion E. Rhodes Meek, Jr.
Kathy was a devoted mother and her grandchildren were everything to her. She enjoyed playing bingo, going to the casinos and especially loved her annual vacations with John to the Smokey Mountains.
She is survived by her significant other, John Balchik of Madison, Tenn. with whom she shared the past fourteen years; daughter, Dawn Meek and son-in-law, Noble Thompson of Latrobe; son, Robert Poland of Bentleyville; seven grandchildren, Khalil, Eriana, Nasir, Noble, Adilyn, Kenna and Nevaeh; two sisters, Karen Meek and Dane Waters of Fairview, Cindy Slanczka of South Carolina; three brothers, Ron Meek and wife Robin of Espyville, Rick Meek of Monongahela, Ed Meek and wife Samantha of Coal Center.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Bradley and Kenneth Meek.
Friends will be received on Monday, January 24, 2022 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM in the Frye Funeral Home Inc., 427 West Main Street, Monongahela, where services will be held on Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at 11:00 AM with the Pastor Gilbert Szackal officiating.
