Mary Lou Patterson's Obituary
Mary Lou Patterson, 88, of New Eagle, died Tuesday, October 31, 2017 in her home. She was born October 29, 1929 in Monongahela, the daughter of James and Della Hamilton Tucker.
Mary Lou worked as a nurse's aid at the Monongahela Memorial Hospital in New Eagle and then at St. Clair Hospital for twenty two years until her retirement. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Monongahela. She loved to crochet and knit baby blankets, doilies, as well as making special blankets for all of her grandchildren. She loved traveling with her husband, Don, especially going overseas when her sons were in the service.
She is survived by four sons and two daughters, Dale and wife Sandy Patterson of Huber Heights, Ohio, Sharon Richardson of New Eagle, Don Patterson of Colorado Springs, Colorado, Stan and wife Donna Patterson of Belle Vernon, Sandi and husband Brian Brittain of New Eagle, Ronald Patterson of Moore, Oklahoma; sixteen grandchildren; twenty four great grandchildren; 1 great great grandson; sister, June Warren of Pottstown.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Eugene Patterson who died April 20, 2011; son-in-law, Terry Richardson; two daughters-in-law, Marion Patterson and Yvonne Patterson; sister, Betty Gondos; and brother, James Tucker.
Private visitations and funeral services were held in the Frye Funeral Home Inc. Interment followed in the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, Bridgeville.
Memorial contributions may be made to Make-A-Wish Foundation, 707 Grant Street, 37th Floor, Pittsburgh, PA 15219-1954.
