Obituary

Patricia Ann (Koval) Mountain, 70, a lifelong resident of Monongahela, passed peacefully at home surrounded by her family on Saturday, March 25, 2017. She was born June 1, 1946 in Monongahela, the daughter of the late Frank and Mary Armenini Koval.
For forty years, Patty was the owner of Mountain Beauty Salon in Monongahela. She was an active member of the former Saint Anthony's Church, where she was a CCD teacher, lecturer, past President of the Altar Rosary Christian Mothers for eight years, and past parish council member. Patty was a member of the graduating class of 1964 of Monongahela High School. She enjoyed vacationing with her family at the beach, and more recently at her camp in Tionesta, her numerous bus trips to Atlantic City, and caring for her toy Pomeranian "Precious."
Patty was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was truly the matriarch of her family, and will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her high school sweetheart and husband, of 52 years, David R Mountain, who has lovingly cared for her these past eight years, as she courageously battled her many health issues. Patty was the loving mother of Dana Marie Cannon (Doug Kendra) of Fallowfield Township and Deann Kathryn (John) Felix of Jefferson Hills; she is the proud and cherished "Mama" of Kristina Marie "Tina Ree" Cannon, Eric John Felix, Matthew David Cannon, and Aaron Joseph Felix.
Visitation will be held Sunday 2-4 & 6-9 PM in the Frye Funeral Home Inc. 427 West Main Street, Monongahela, where a Blessing Service will be held Monday at 9:30AM, officiated by Fr. Alan Morris. Interment will follow in Monongahela Cemetery. Donations may be given to the Kidney Care Fund to assist dialysis patients with their medical benefits.
