Ray Eugene Hartman's Obituary
Ray Eugene Hartman, 87, of Monongahela, died Friday, October 13, 2017 in the Monongahela Valley Hospital. He was born June 26, 1930 in Monongahela, the son of Thomas Raymond and Audrey G. Calligan Hartman.
Gene graduated from Charleroi High School and then joined the US Air Force. He then was employed by Kaufmann's Department Store for ten years and in 1965, went to work for Business Forms Inc. and retired from there after twenty seven years. He was a member of the Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Monongahela, the National Rifle Association and was an avid wood carver.
His caregivers were his family. Corinne Prentice took wonderful care of Gene until she moved to Florida. From that point on, Kim Stoner then took care of Gene and was with him when he passed on.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, October 16, 2017 at 1:00 PM with the Rev. Matthew Stabe officiating at the Monongahela Cemetery.
