Rene Michelle Thomas, 54, of Monongahela, died unexpectedly Sunday, June 2, 2024 in her home. She was born December 8, 1970 in Chicago, Illinois, the daughter of Elisha Junior Baylis.

Rene was a veteran having served in the US Army.

She enjoyed cooking and having movie nights with her daughter, Dezah, and talking about her every chance she had. Rene loved wearing crazy outfits and helping others. She was also a very spiritual woman.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Dezah A. Thomas of Donora, and her father, Frederick A. Joseph of Monroeville; Dezah's dog, Onyx; three godchildren, Sierra Burton, Cynthia Turner, and J.R. Turner; two great godchildren, Ava O'Bryan, Giovanni Martin; sister, Shirley Milligan, niece, Laneisha Baylis and her son, Kacen Bryant, nephew, Jason Milligan, all of Paris, California.

In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by her brother-in-law,  William T.  Milligan.

There will be no visitations or funeral services. At the request of the family, memorial contributions may be made to Frye Funeral Home to help with expenses.
