Rita Fusco Sanders' Obituary
Rita (Fusco) Sanders, 87, of Monongahela, passed away Thursday, February 2, 2017 in Mt. Vernon Assisted Living South Park. She was born February 16, 1929 in Monongahela, the daughter of the late Eugene and Maria Olfredo Fusco and was the last surviving member of her family. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Daniel Sanders and brothers, John, Michael, Rudy, Edward, Stephen and Armand and sister Rose (Fusco) Cox.
A lifelong resident of Monongahela, Rita was a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Monongahela. She worked as a clerk and bookkeeper for several businesses and was co-owner (with her husband) of Sanders Service Station and U-Haul Business in Monongahela and Charleroi. Rita enjoyed traveling and especially enjoyed her several trips to Italy and the mountains of Tennessee.
She will be remembered by many nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, relatives and friends.
Friends will be received on Monday, February 6, 2017 from 9-11:00 AM, in the Frye Funeral Home Inc., 427 West Main Street, Monongahela, where services will be held at 11:00 AM with the Rev. Matthew Stabe officiating. Interment will follow in the Monongahela Cemetery.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff of Mt. Vernon and 365 Hospice for the care that was given to Rita.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church, 911 Howard Street, Monongahela, PA 15063.
