Robert M. Behanna, 88, of Monongahela (Forward Township), died Tuesday, September 8, 2026 in the Jefferson Hospital. He was born August 8, 1938, in Gallatin, the son of Clyde and Neva Natali Behanna.

Bob owned and operated Bee Bee Electric Service in Donora for fifty nine years. He was a member of St. Nicholas Orthodox Church in Donora and the B.P.O. Elks Lodge #455 in Monongahela. He also belonged to the Mon City Coffee Club at Hills Restaurant, where he enjoyed his morning cup with the guys. Bob enjoyed hunting, NASCAR racing, and had a passion for working on cars.

He is survived by his wife, Mary Gernat Behanna with whom he celebrated sixty six years of marriage on January 16, 2026; son, Kenneth (Pam) Behanna; daughter, Debra (Stephen) Staffen, all of Monongahela; three grandchildren, Kelsey (Dante) Pungitore, Karley (Louis) Simon, and Jeremy Staffen; three great grandchildren, Emery Staffen, Decker Simon, and Navy Pungitore; sister, Eileen (Bill) Raff of Ohio.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Clyde and Vernon Behanna.

Friends will be received on Friday, September 11, 2026, from 2-4 and 6-8 PM in the Frye Funeral Home, Inc., 427 West Main Street, Monongahela. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 12, 2026, at 10:00 AM in St. Nicholas Orthodox Church, 1 St. Nicholas Drive, Donora with the Rev. Stephan Gresh as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Michaels Cemetery, Donora.

A panachida service will be held on Friday evening at 7:30 PM in the funeral home.
