Ronald E. Davis, 88, of White Oak, formerly of Elrama, died Tuesday, May 2, 2023 in his home. He was born April 16, 1935 in Washington, the son of John Ernest and Daisy Bell Barnhart Davis.

Ron was a 1954 graduate of Ellsworth High School. After high school, he joined the US Air Force. While in the service, he had the honor to serve with Chuck Yeager and travel the world.

He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Monongahela and the White Oak American Legion Post 701. He retired from US Steel Irvin Works where he was employed as a union carpenter for twenty years. Ron also used his carpenter skills to build cabinets for many families in the Elrama community. Ron loved to polka dance with his wife, golf, watch WWE, and spend time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

He is survived by his daughter, Darla (Mike) Peduzzi of White Oak; son, Ronald "John" (Sharon McKee) Davis of Finleyville; three grandchildren, Lara (Derek) Bigler, John A. (Jessica Wall) Davis, Angela Peduzzi; two great grandchildren, Jaxon and Andrew; numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Ann Neidermeyer Davis who died July 12, 2004; stepfather, Clinton "Bud" A. McElfresh; sister, Emma Jean Stauffer.

Friends will be received on Thursday, May 4, 2023 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM in the Frye Funeral Home, Inc., 427 West Main Street, Monongahela, where services will be held on Friday, May 5, 2023 at 10:00 AM with the Rev. Jude Urso officiating, along with military honors accorded by the US Air Force.
