Ronald James Large's Obituary
Ronald James Large, 65, of Monongahela, died unexpectedly Monday, July 30, 2018 in Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh. He was born January 4, 1953 in McKeesport, the son of the late James Robert and Mildred Elizabeth Large.
Ron was a graduate of Elizabeth Forward High School, class of 1971. He retired with over twenty years of employment working for the road department in Fallowfield Township and also serving as the township's zoning and code enforcement officer. He was currently serving his first term in office with the board of supervisors in Fallowfield Township and was a lifetime member of the Fallowfield Township Fire Department. In addition to his dedication to the community, Ron enjoyed fishing, hunting, working on cars, cutting the grass on his tractor and spending time with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Julie Tresh Large; son, Shawn Large and wife Ashley of Monongahela; daughter, Crystal Powell and husband Damien of Uniontown; four grandchildren, Tyler Anderson, Peyton and Abigail Powell, Johnathan Knight; great grandson, Hayden Zebley.
Friends will be received on Sunday, August 5, 2018 from 2-4 and 7-9 PM in the Frye Funeral Home Inc., 427 West Main Street, Monongahela, where services will be held on Monday, August 6, 2018 at 11:00 AM with the Rev. William Bailey officiating. Interment will follow in the Round Hill Cemetery, Elizabeth.
