Ruth Elaine Selelyo, 82, of Elizabeth, died Friday, September 18, 2026 in her home. She was born October 8, 1943 in New Eagle, the daughter of William L. and Ruby A. Phillips Todd.

Ruth was a member of First Baptist Church in Monongahela. She had a deep faith that she instilled in her family. She was a kind and loving caregiver to many of her family members and cherished every moment with her grandchildren. Ruth loved to cook, dance, read books and watch old movies. Her love for animals ran deep, especially the outdoor cats.

She is survived by her daughter, Holly Zabroski with whom she made her home; three grandchildren, Tyler (Jade) Soffel, Zachary and Matthew Zabroski; great granddaughter, Mya Soffel; beloved niece, Stephanie (Christopher) Blackwell; nephew, Jason Gunia; a few cousins; two cherished lifelong friends for over seventy five years, Martha Halechko and Joyce Porter.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, William (Billy Todd) Criswell and Charles T. Selelyo; sister, Ruby E. Todd; and her late husband, Charles W. Selelyo.Visitations and funeral services were private. She was laid to rest in Mon Valley Memorial Park in Donora. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to the Frye Funeral Home.
