Sarah "Sally" Ostifin, 98, of Monongahela, died Sunday, November 5, 2017 in her home. She was born May 20, 1919 in Carroll Township, the daughter of George and Jane Lavery Seighman.
Sally was a homemaker and spent her life caring for her family.
She is survived by two sons, Larry Seighman and wife Marie of Washington, David A. Ostifin at home; daughter, Mary Jane Ostifin of Fallowfield Township; three grandchildren, Sandy Seighman Jones and husband Dan, Toni Seighman Hoover and husband Todd, Joe Seighman;
five great grandchildren, Kayla Ovesney and husband Dennis, Jessica Carter, Wray White and wife Michol, Derek Hoover, Brandy Braun and husband Erik; five great great grandchildren, Amelia, Gracie, Adaline, Lyoto and Espen; numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Abel D. Ostifin who died May 20, 1999; her grandson, Daniel Seighman and his wife, Joyce; two great granddaughters, Melanie and Jennifer Seighman; brother, George; and four sisters, Elizabeth, Emma, Gladys, and Dorothy.
Friends will be received on Wednesday, November 8, 2017 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM in the Frye Funeral Home Inc., 427 West Main Street, Monongahela, where services will be held on Thursday, November 9, 2017 at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow in the Sacred Heart Cemetery, Monongahela.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Washington County Humane Society, P.O. Box 66, Eighty Four, PA 15330 or to Make-A-Wish Foundation, The Gulf Tower, 707 Grant Street, 37th Floor, Pittsburgh, PA 15219.
