Sharon G. Coleman, 77, of Monongahela, died Monday, September 14, 2026 in Penn Highlands Mon Valley Hospital. She was born October 20, 1948 in New Eagle, the daughter of Alex Edward Maxymczak and Rosella Bordini Scarlato.

Sharon worked at St. Claire Hospital as a unit secretary and taught ceramics in her home. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Monongahela. She loved camping, gardening, traveling, watching crime shows, and playing bingo.

She is survived by two daughters, Toni Burge of Monongahela, Tracy (Russ) Tomes of Saint Helen, Michigan; several grandchildren and great grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gary E. Coleman, who died July 9, 2013; two daughters, Patty Ornot, and Cathy Coleman; brothers, Michael "Mickey" and Edward A. Maxymczak.

Friends will be received on Thursday, September 17, 2026 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM in the Frye Funeral Home, Inc., 427 West Main Street, Monongahela, where a funeral service will be held on Friday, September 18, 2026 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Kenneth Kirby officiating. Interment will follow in the Monongahela Cemetery.
