Steven A. Glova, 71, of Ginger Hill, died unexpectedly Thursday, December 14, 2023 in the Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh. He was born March 23, 1952 in Homestead, the son of the late Steve and Pasha Koslow Glova.

Steve retired from US Steel Clairton Works, where he was employed for over 40 years. He was a member of the Hoot Owls in New Eagle.

He was always working on a project, but his favorites included building his 1930 Model A and landscaping his yard. Steve and his wife, Lynn, spent the last five winters in Myrtle Beach with their snowbird friends. In his free time, he loved doing Sudoku and jigsaw puzzles. He was very proud of his daughters and all they've accomplished.

He is survived by his wife, Lynn Brubaker Glova, with whom he celebrated 50 years of marriage on October 20, 2023; two daughters, Alexis (Brian) Shimko of Uniontown, Robin (Harrison) Porter of Lower Burrell; seven grandchildren, Brianna Chester, Jessie Shimko, Grace Sollosi, Rick Sollosi, Rylie Porter, Maci Shimko, and Quinn Porter; three great grandchildren, Owen, Harper, and Kevin.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandson, Regan Porter.

Friends will be received on Sunday, December 17, 2023 from 2-6 PM in the Frye Funeral Home, Inc., 427 West Main Street, Monongahela.

In typical Steve fashion, the family requests that those who attend visitations wear a flannel.
