Thomas L. Troy, 71, of Uniontown, died unexpectedly Monday, March 23, 2026 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV. He was born October 29, 1954, in McKeesport, the son of Anthony F. and Florence Riggs Troy.

Tom was employed at the former Blue Stone in Elizabeth, now Metal Management, where he retired as a crane operator and truck driver. Tom had a heart of gold. He enjoyed spending his time working on cars and loved taking rides in the mountains.

He is survived by his son, Adam Troy at home; siblings-in-law, Helen (Harvey) Noel of Trafford, Eugene (Monica) Streets of Belle Vernon,  Edith Bainbridge of Irwin, Michael (Kathy) Streets of Belle Vernon, Caroline (Mark) Schneider of Herminie, Judith (William) Haney of Smithton, Diana (Dale) Barkefelt of Jeannette; numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Virginia L. "Genny" Streets Troy who died December 14, 2019; three sisters, Gloria Schwingling, Florence and Laverne Troy; brother, Anthony F. Troy, Jr.; sister-in-law, Shirley Stout; and two brothers-in-law, Earl and Bradford Streets.

Friends will be received on Sunday, March 29, 2026, from 2-4 and 6-8 PM in the Frye Funeral Home, Inc., 427 West Main Street, Monongahela, where a funeral service will be held on Monday, March 30, 2026, at 11:00 AM with the Rev. Roger Diehl  officiating. Interment will follow in the West Newton Cemetery.
