Velma Jean  Fine, 90, of Monongahela (Forward Township), died Friday, August 11, 2023 in the Victoria House, Monessen. She was born October 15, 1932 in Lock Four, the daughter of Norman Lenhart and Julia Jones Lenhart Smith.

Velma was a member of Ella Hollow Bible Church, a former Sunday school teacher and attended their Wednesday morning Bible Study. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, baking, canning, gardening and especially loved taking care of her house plants.

She is survived by three sons, Richard Fine and wife Darlene of Elizabeth Township,  Edward Fine of New Eagle, Mickey Fine and Sherry Mizwa of Eldora; daughter, Crystal Loera and husband Dan of Salem, Oregon; nine grandchildren; seventeen great grandchildren; brother, Jim Lenhart and wife Kristi of Millersville, Maryland; and sister, Diana Smalden of Florida

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Fine; son, Clarence Fine; brothers, Norman, Robert and Jefferey Lenhart; and a sister, Norma May Lenhart who died in infancy.

Friends will be received on Tuesday, August 15, 2023 from 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM in the Frye Funeral Home, Inc., 427 West Main Street, Monongahela, where services will be held at 1:00 PM with the Rev. Jude Urso officiating. Interment will follow in Round Hill Cemetery Elizabeth.
