Virginia "Ruth"  Richardson, 97, of Monongahela, died Tuesday, October 24, 2023 in her home. She was born October 7, 1926 in Granville, the daughter of  John Mitchell and Phyllis Deitz Brewer.

Ruth was a member of the First Christian Church in Monongahela. She enjoyed camping, fishing, bowling, and playing bingo. She was also a big fan of the Pittsburgh Pirates.

She is survived by her son, Oliver U. (Flossie) Richardson of Uniontown; daughter, Virginia "Ginny" Wozniak of Monongahela; four grandchildren, Eric Wozniak, Jeffrey (Shaina) Richardson, Tracy (Brian) Anderson, Jill (Luke) Buffone; eleven great grandchildren; brother, Gerald Mitchell of Elco.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Oliver U. Richardson, who died December 8, 2014; son-in-law, Nicholas Wozniak; siblings, George Brewer, Carolyn Hope Wargo, John Brewer, Frances Wahl.

The family would like to thank OSPTA Hospice, especially Julie, for their care and compassion.

Friends will be received on Thursday, October 26, 2023 from 5-7 PM in the Frye Funeral Home, Inc., 427 West Main Street, Monongahela where a funeral service will be held at 7:00 PM with the Rev. Janet Scott-Mace officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the First Christian Church, 630 Chess Street, Monongahela, PA 15063.
