Virginia L. "Genny" Troy, 68, of Allison, died Saturday, December 14, 2019 in the Greensburg Care Center. She was born January 2, 1951 in McKeesport, the daughter of the late Earl Allen and Ada Gay Shaffer Streets.
Genny was a member of the Allison Church of the Nazarene. She loved her family, enjoyed reading and taking rides in the mountains with her husband Thomas.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas Troy with whom she celebrated forty five years of marriage on August 16, 2019; son, Adam at home; eight siblings, Helen (Harvey) Noel of Trafford, Bradford Streets and Michael (Kathy) Streets, all of Belle Vernon, Eugene (Monica) Streets, Caroline (Mark) Schneider and Judith (William) Haney, all of West Newton,
Edith Bainbridge of Penn, Diana (Dale) Barkefelt of Jeanette.
She was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Stout and brother, Earl Streets.
Friends will be received on Wednesday, December 18, 2019 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM in the Frye Funeral Home Inc., 427 West Main Street, Monongahela, where services will be held on Thursday, December 19, 2019 at 11:00 AM with the Rev. Roger Diehl officiating. Interment will follow in West Newton Cemetery.
