Wendell Thomas Patz, Sr., 76, of Elizabeth,  died on Sunday, June 7, 2026, in the Jefferson Hospital. He was born August 17, 1949 in North Charleroi, the son of Cleo and Elizabeth Travis Patz.

Wendell was a 1967 graduate of Monongahela High School. He was formerly employed at US Steel Clairton Works, the Walmart in West Mifflin and retired from Gabe's in West Mifflin. He was a devoted car enthusiast, especially stock cars, and he enjoyed fishing and the companionship of his cats. He was known as a gentle soul who cared deeply for his family and friends.

He is survived by his wife, Marianne Mavrovich Patz with whom he celebrated 51 years of marriage on August 3, 2025; three children, Timothy (Carla Black) Patz of Cumberland, Maryland, Sherrie (Joe) Foytick of Jefferson Hills, and Wendell Patz, Jr. of Albion; sister Corine Galante of Monessen; and  brother, Darren Patz.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Dale L. Patz.

Honoring Wendell's wishes, there will not be any visitations or funeral service. He will be laid to rest in the Monongahela Cemetery.
