William
Dovalovsky
Nov 1, 1949 — Jun 22, 2024
Monongahela
William F. Dovalovsky, Jr., 74, of Monongahela, died Saturday, June 22, 2024 in the Jefferson Hospital. He was born November 1, 1949 in McKeesport, the son of William F. and Marie Wingard Dovalovsky, Sr.
Bill was retired after eleven years of employment at Hussy Copper in Leetsdale. He was a member of St. Andrew the Apostle Parish in Monongahela. He was a member of the YMCA in Carroll Township and a former member of the Elrama Volunteer Fire Department. In his younger years, Bill enjoyed bowling and more currently reading.
Bill loved God, his family, and his friends. He was a kind and caring person with a good heart, and he was generous beyond his means! Bill had hurdles to overcome throughout his life but he was never one to say, "Woe is me"! Instead, he did well with the life God gave him. When you called Bill on the phone, you were always greeted with his signature, "Hel-low-ow"! And his calls would always end with a "God Bless".
God gave Bill more than 74 years of a life well lived on this Earth. We are blessed to have known him. And we can only imagine what a glorious day it was for him to arrive in heaven, and be reunited with his mother and dad, his brother Bob, his grandparents and others who loved him dearly, and then to live forever in the presence of the God he loved.
He is survived by his cousins, John (Linda) Dovalovsky of Lombard, Illinois, Eve (Russ) Johnson of Upper St. Clair, Paul McKernan of Jefferson Hills, Marilyn (William) Wenger of Crescent; special friend, Paul Shaffer of Finleyville; other friends and relatives.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Dovalovsky; and cousins, Richard Dovalovsky and Janet McKernan.
Friends will be received on Wednesday, June 26, 2024 from 4-8 PM in the Frye Funeral Home, Inc., 427 West Main Street, Monongahela. Additional visitations will be held on Thursday, June 27, 2024 from 10-11 AM in St. Andrew the Apostle Parish, Monongahela, where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM.
